Each class is 1.5 hours, focusing on a different skill or component each week.
We avoid giving written homework, so any written work assigned is usually completed within class time. Written work will be marked and returned the next week. For students attending online, work is scanned into a PDF using an app like CamScanner and sent via WhatsApp to the teacher before the class ends.

What is the difference between your online & on-site classes?

Whether online or on-site, the lessons throughout the week will have the same objective and use the same materials. Granted, there might be some difference in how we use the materials online vs on-site, but it is only so that we can fully maximise the potential of each platform/method of delivery.
While there is plenty of interaction between student and teacher during the online class via the chatbox (which some more introverted students may prefer), some students may still prefer the on-site classes for more interaction with the rest of their classmates.

How do your online classes work?

Online classes are conducted via Zoom. Materials are provided digitally via a Dropbox link each week. It is recommended that the student prints the materials ahead of class.
Zoom and Dropbox links are sent to students via the WhatsApp group chat they will be added to. (For online trial, the links will be sent via email a day before your trial class)
Any completed written work is submitted via WhatsApp directly to the teacher.
How do your hybrid (online / on-site) classes work?
On-site students will attend the class physically at our centre (please see "Our Location" for address). All materials are provided in the class.
Online students will attend the same class as the on-site students but via Zoom. Links to Zoom and Dropbox (for lesson materials) will be sent to the students via the WhatsApp group chat ahead of the lesson. Students will be able to see and hear the teacher clearly and will participate just as if they are in a regular class.

Can my child arrange for a make-up class?

You will be required to select main time slot for your child when you sign them up after the trial class. This will be the time slot we will expect them to attend each week.

Should there be a need to reschedule class (e.g., because your child is unwell, has extra CCA training, or has a major family event to attend), Core & Upp Sec students may contact their teacher directly to arrange a make-up to schedule their replacement class within the same week. Depending on the term, the week either runs from Tues-Sat or from Sat-Thurs. You can always check with us if you're unsure. Do note, however, that a place in your selected make-up class will depend on whether there is a slot available.
In addition, if your child is unable to attend any make-up class within the week, they may request a recording of the missed lesson to go through on their own time. After completing the video recording, they are welcome to ask their teacher if they have any questions.
How does the trial class work?
The trial class is a full 1.5-hour lesson. The trial student will attend a regular class with students already on the programme. As each lesson can be quite different from the next, we ask that you approach this trial class mainly as a way for your child to get a sense of the teacher's style, just as it is an opportunity for us to get to know the student as well.
